VOGO Industries (Chairman Hyunsoo NOH), a special boat manufacturer, announced on the 31st that it held a groundbreaking ceremony for the second factory on the 27th to build next-generation special ships in Daejin Port in Samcheok-si, Gangwon-do.

The business aims to build a special boat factory that manufactures more than 300 submersibles and special boats launched in the Asian and global market into eco-friendly and low-carbon fleets compliant with international environmental agreements.

It plans to invest intensively in technologies of hydrogen-electric WIG ships and amphibious hovercrafts and supply those ships to clients at home and abroad, so that it could rise to one of the global defense companies.

“The second factory located in Daejin Port, Samcheok-si, will be the place to give birth to future eco-friendly low-carbon special boats that consolidate all our technology know-hows of over 30 years,” said Hyunsoo NOH, chairman of VOGO Industries. He added, “VOGO industries outruns Zodiac, one of its competitors in France, the world’s third defense power, and boasts its posture as the world’s third submersible manufacturer. I consider the new factory will be where VOGO will emerge as a powerful defense company.”
